The Formal British Consulate at Takao, Kaohsiung

回台灣前就聽說建於1865年至今已有一百四十年歷史的高雄二級古蹟"打狗英國領事館"(The British Consulate at Takao)已經改為可以喝下午茶的露天咖啡館. 這次回來我和 Angie 當然要來這看西子灣的日落和高雄市港的夜景.

爬了數十階的樓梯, 我們登上了領事館. 看著進出的大船, 映入眼簾的是海天一色的壯闊美景. 在這樣的後文藝復興時代巴洛克式建築風格的拱圈和迴廊裡喝英式下午茶, 不禁使我們想起 Half Moon Bay 的 Ritz Carlton Hotel. 看著相同的太平洋, 不同的是, 這裡多了點家鄉的親切...^_^

Note: The Formal British Consulate at Takao, Kaohsiung is a 140 years old historic site and the first western style building in Taiwan. It is now an ocean view outdoor cafe and gallery.
